ISO Implementation Consulting
Get certified — and end up with a quality system your team actually uses, not a folder that only comes out when the auditor visits.
Certification is a door-opener — if it's done properly
More and more manufacturers are being asked for ISO certification before they can even quote. Head contractors, government tenders, defence supply chains and larger OEMs increasingly treat ISO 9001 as a minimum requirement. Without it, you're locked out of the bigger work before the conversation starts.
But there are two ways to get certified. The first is to buy a generic template pack, copy someone else's procedures, and scramble to look compliant once a year. It technically works — until an auditor asks a question your team can't answer, or the "system" quietly falls apart because nobody actually uses it.
The second is to build a lean quality system around the way your business genuinely operates — so certification is a by-product of running well, not a paperwork exercise bolted on top. That's the approach we take, and it's why our systems keep passing audits long after the certificate is framed on the wall.
sites worldwide are certified to ISO 9001 — the most widely adopted quality management standard in the world.
Who ISO implementation is for
✓ A good fit if…
- You're losing tenders because you're not certified
- A key customer is requiring ISO to keep supplying them
- Quality is inconsistent and depends on who's on shift
- Your processes live in people's heads, not on paper
- You've tried a DIY template pack and it's a mess
✗ Probably not yet if…
- You're pre-revenue or still proving the business model
- You want a certificate on the wall with zero change
- No one internally will own the system day to day

How ISO-ready is your business?
Answer 8 quick questions about how your business runs today. You'll get an instant read on how close you are to ISO 9001 certification — no email required.
1. Are your key processes (quoting, production, dispatch) documented and followed consistently?
2. Do you control your documents and records — current versions, approvals, easy to find?
3. Do you capture and act on non-conformances, defects and customer complaints?
4. Do you have a corrective action process to stop the same problems recurring?
5. Do you set quality objectives and review performance against them?
6. Do you assess and manage your suppliers and subcontractors?
7. Do you run internal audits of your own processes?
8. Is there clear leadership and responsibility for quality across the business?

Book your free ISO readiness callThis is a guide only, not a formal gap analysis — but it's a good indicator of where you stand.
How we get you certified
A structured, staged process that keeps production running while we build the system around you.
Gap analysis & scope
We assess where you stand against the relevant standard, agree the scope of certification, and give you a clear, honest picture of the gap and the effort involved — no surprises later.
Process mapping
We sit with your team and map how the business actually runs — quoting, purchasing, production, dispatch, non-conformance. The system is built on reality, not a generic template.
Documentation & controls
We write the quality manual, procedures, work instructions and forms — kept as lean as the standard allows, so your team will actually use them rather than work around them.
Rollout & training
We help you embed the system on the floor and train your people so everyone understands their part. A system nobody follows fails its first audit.
Internal audit & management review
We run your first internal audit and management review with you, find and fix issues before the certification body does, and show you how to run these yourself.
Certification audit & beyond
We prepare you for the Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits and are there on the day. After certification, we can keep the system live and audit-ready through CompliHub.

ISO implementation FAQs
How long does ISO 9001 certification take?
For most small-to-mid manufacturers it typically runs three to six months from kick-off to certification audit, depending on the size of the business, how well your current processes are documented, and how quickly your team can commit time. We give you a realistic timeline after the gap analysis rather than a one-size-fits-all promise.
Will this grind production to a halt?
No. We work around your operation, not the other way around. Most of the effort sits with us — mapping, writing and preparing documentation — with focused, scheduled input from your team. The goal is a system that makes the floor run better, not one that gets in its way.
Do we need someone internal to manage it?
Yes — ideally one person to act as your quality champion, though it doesn't have to be a full-time role. We train them so the system stays alive after we hand it over. If keeping it maintained is a concern, CompliHub does a lot of that heavy lifting for you.
What does it cost?
It depends on the standard, the scope and how much documentation already exists. We'll give you a fixed, transparent quote after the readiness call and gap analysis, so you know exactly what you're committing to. Note that the certification body's audit fee is separate and paid directly to them.
We bought a template pack and it's a mess. Can you fix it?
Often, yes. We can review what you have, keep anything usable, and rebuild the rest around how you actually work. In many cases that's faster than starting again from scratch.
