Leadership Coaching

Develop supervisors and managers who can lead a team, hold standards and take real responsibility off your plate.

Why it matters

Great tradespeople aren't automatically great leaders

Think about how your supervisors and leading hands got their jobs. Almost always, they were the best on the tools — so they got promoted. But being good at the work and being good at leading people are two completely different skills, and no one ever taught them the second one.

Left unsupported, that gap shows up everywhere: mixed messages, standards that slip depending on who's supervising, good people leaving because of how they're managed, and the owner still being dragged into every problem because no one else can handle it.

We coach your leaders to actually lead — setting clear expectations, having the hard conversations, developing their people and holding accountability — so you can genuinely trust them to run their part of the business.

70%

Managers account for at least 70% of the variance in team engagement. Your leaders make or break performance, retention and culture — so developing them pays off everywhere.

Is this you?

Who leadership coaching is for

✓ A good fit if…

  • You've promoted good workers into leadership roles
  • Standards vary depending on who's supervising
  • Your leaders avoid difficult conversations
  • You're still pulled in to solve problems they should handle
  • You're losing good people to poor management

✗ Maybe not yet if…

  • The person isn't willing to grow into the role
  • The issue is the wrong person, not a skills gap

What we develop

The skills that separate a boss from a leader

💬

Communication

Clear, consistent communication that keeps the team aligned and reduces mistakes and frustration.

Standards & accountability

Setting expectations and holding people to them fairly — so quality and safety don't depend on who's watching.

🗣

Difficult conversations

The confidence to address performance and conflict early, before small issues become big ones.

Delegation

Handing over work properly, so leaders build their team's capability instead of doing everything themselves.

Developing people

Coaching and growing their own team — the multiplier that lifts the whole operation.

Leading through change

Keeping the team steady and onside when things shift, from new systems to new customers.

How it works

Practical coaching, on the ground

1

Understand the team

We get to know your leaders, the team dynamics and the specific challenges they're facing day to day.

2

One-on-one coaching

Regular sessions with your leaders, focused on real situations they're dealing with — not abstract theory.

3

Apply & practise

They put new skills to work between sessions, with support to handle the tough moments.

4

Embed the habits

Over time the new approach becomes how they lead — and it shows in the team's performance.

Common questions

Leadership coaching FAQs

Who do you coach — owners or the team?

Usually your supervisors, leading hands and managers — the people running teams day to day. We also coach owners on leading their leaders. We'll work out the right focus with you.

Is it group training or one-on-one?

Primarily one-on-one, because that's where real behaviour change happens. We can add group sessions or workshops where it makes sense for your team.

How long before we see a difference?

Small shifts show up quickly as leaders start handling situations differently. Lasting change in how someone leads takes a few months of consistent coaching and practice.

What does it cost?
